Steve Warren has been a popular radio personality in New York since 1971. He is the author of the best-selling book on Radio Programming, RADIO: The Book, and has been a radio professional since the age of 16 in Louisville, KY. After that, it was on to Indianapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Tampa, Dayton, San Antonio, and finally New York.

 

As Program Director, he managed diverse markets and formats in markets including Indianapolis, Wilmington, Albany, Dayton, and in San Antonio with Top 40, Oldies, Country, Talk, Adult standards, and Classical.

 

Steve keeps busy with projects such as hosting events at Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. He's topical, engaging, funny, and informative, speaking with authority on the contemporary media and entertainment scene.
 

As an actor, he has appeared on TV in episodes of The Sopranos and Law & Order and in feature films Michael Clayton, with George Clooney, Julie Taymor's Beatle music-based fantasy, Across the Universe, and It's Complicated, with Alec Baldwin and Meryl Streep. On stage, his credits include regional roles in Carnival, Guys and Dolls, and A Christmas Carol.  

Food, travel, live theatre, and a few seasonal sports also keep him busy, as does living two blocks from Times Square in New York City.


Debbie Conner

Debbie, a 35-year veteran radio and television broadcaster and Country DJ Hall of Fame nominee, brings her extensive knowledge of country music to the Hall of Fame feature that honors a deserving country music great each week.

She has traveled the country making people smile on the air at a long list of stations.  Debbie can claim a number of firsts in her career, as she was the first to play a country show on WMPS, was the first woman to do afternoon drive on WSAI, was the first woman to have an air shift on 50,000 watt WLW and was the first woman involved in the Reds Radio Network, the largest radio network in the world at the time. Debbie spent 12 years with the number one morning show in St. Louis (WIL) where she was nominated and finalist for several industry awards.

Debbie brings her unique personal perspective to The Country Oldies Show Hall of Fame feature, as she has interviewed nearly every major country music artist for the last three and a half decades including Bill Anderson, Steve Wariner, Chet Atkins, Ray Price, and Charly McClain.
